Perkins Nine decades of engine expertise

Frank Perkins, the man whose name is behind all Perkins engines, founded the company back in 1932. But he didn’t just make diesel engines — Frank was a farmer, with a 400-acre farm. This unique combination led him to realise early on how much diesel engines would benefit the agricultural market; and that has not changed since. Even today, diesel engines are at the heart of almost every agricultural machine.

Engines have changed, but Perkins remains committed to its customers

Over the years, the engines have evolved enormously. Perkins engines are used in a wide range of applications, not just in agricultural machinery, but in around 5,000 different applications. The introduction of electronic engines or new emission requirements make today’s engines more complex than ever before.

But no matter which Perkins engine you have and how old the series already is, the engine is designed to last. Perkins engineers design parts to fit your engine exactly, and Perkins distributors like BU Power Systems have well-trained technicians. This ensures that you get the technically expert support you need for your engine.
