Collaboration Power: BU Power Systems and WINTER Markiertechnik GmbH

By 26. January 2023 No Comments

With its know-how in road construction, WINTER Markiertechnik GmbH has specialised for many years in the development and production of innovative and efficient marking and demarking machines for roads and airports. The WINTER Markiertechnik GmbH product portfolio offers the right machine technology for every marking task, regardless of whether it is structural markings, thick-film markings or spray applications using the airspray, airless or hot-spray processes — from hand-held devices and self-propelled machines to marking trucks with maximum capacity and special equipment. Additional equipment such as roadway dryers, demarking cutters, thermoplastic cookers or bead spreaders complete the product range.

The machines of the W 351 series from WINTER Markiertechnik GmbH are equipped with a Perkins® 404J-E22TA, stage V engine. The engine is a 4‑cylinder engine with a displacement of 2.2 litres. The compact “little one” from Perkins has an output of 55 kW (74 hp) and offers an excellent torque of 279 Nm at low speeds of 1600 rpm. Added to this are low operating costs and extremely low noise levels. The noise advantage results in further working time windows in noise-sensitive working areas.

Like all other machine models from WINTER Markiertechnik GmbH, all conventional marking materials can be processed with the W 351 GTLR. From thermoplastic marking materials for thin- and thick-layer markings to the application of sprayable cold paints and cold spray plastics (both possible in the airless or air atomisation process) to the application of thick-layer cold plastics. Thanks to the modular system of the vehicle frame, the application units can be interchanged. This enables the machine operator to cover a diverse range of tasks and increase machine efficiency.

“Easy maintenance, low fuel consumption and a maintenance-free after-treatment system make the 400 engine particularly user-friendly for us. It fits harmoniously into the machine design of the W 351 series and is suitable for a wide range of application requirements. A special feature of the W 351 is the modular design of the machine. Different application requirements can be processed with different front carriages,” says Lisa Parczanny, team leader sales marking technology.
