Practical engine know-how: Hyundai training at BU Power Systems’ Perkins-certified training centre

By 23. April 2025 No Comments

BU Power Systems focusses on targeted further training: At our international, Perkins-certified training centre, we impart practical knowledge about Perkins engines — for maximum service quality and long-term customer satisfaction.

In March, technicians from HD Hyundai Construction Equipment Europe attended a training course at the training centre in Ibbenbüren, Germany. The focus was on the Perkins 2000 series, which is used in Hyundai machines worldwide. Participants from various countries — including Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands — gained in-depth expertise in the maintenance and diagnosis of these engines.

The Perkins 2000 series comprises robust 6‑cylinder diesel engines with displacements of 13, 15 and 18 litres. These engines are known for their reliability and efficiency and are used for both continuous duty and emergency power applications. With a power range from 350 to 624 kVA, they offer an excellent power-to-weight ratio and fulfil globally applicable emission standards.

The training approach combines theoretical knowledge with a high practical component to optimally prepare technicians for real-life challenges. Participants benefit in the long term from faster fault diagnosis, more efficient repairs and reduced downtime — a clear advantage for service organisations and end customers.

Thanks to the combination of modern equipment, experienced trainers and a practice-oriented concept, BU Power Systems creates the ideal conditions for sustainable knowledge transfer to our OEM service organisations.
