BU Power Systems, provider of customised drive solutions and the world’s largest distributor of Perkins engines, is sending a clear signal for future growth and sustainable development with the ground-breaking ceremony. ‘The expansion of the logistics centre by 900 square metres is an important step towards meeting the increasing demands of the industry and further increasing the efficiency of our processes,’ emphasises Prof. Dr.-Ing. Carsten Bücker, Managing Partner of BU Power Systems.
‘This expansion underlines our commitment to progress and efficiency,’ adds Jan-Sebastian Seeber, Managing Director of BU Power Systems. ‘With the additional storage capacity and improved infrastructure, we are not only optimising our internal processes, but also offering our customers an even better service. This investment strengthens our position as a leading company in the provision of drive solutions and at the same time improves customer satisfaction through increased reliability and availability of our products. It was particularly important to us to equip the hall extension with modern technology for the future today — from a photovoltaic system, additional employee car parking spaces — a large number with charging points for electric cars — to an advanced sprinkler system for fire protection for the new building and the entire existing property.’
The company founder, Josef Bücker, along with the project managers Niklas Deiting, Commercial Director, and Torsten Gerritsen, project leader at BU Power Systems, were also on site. Representing Köster GmbH, the company responsible for the construction, were Managing Director Björn Bongartz , Site Manager Jan Malik, and Planning Coordinator Jennifer Trabant.
Completion of the extension and subsequent operation are planned for April 2025.
