For almost three decades, TEAM MP sp. z o.o. has been a trust­ed brand in the Pol­ish spe­cial­ist vehi­cle sec­tor. The com­pa­ny has devel­oped into an expert in the mod­i­fi­ca­tion and pro­duc­tion of vehi­cles for extreme conditions.

One of its most impor­tant projects is the SWT-TEAM self-pro­pelled trans­port vehi­cle, designed specif­i­cal­ly for the harsh con­di­tions of under­ground mines, with the main func­tion being the trans­porta­tion of min­ing per­son­nel, explo­sives and aux­il­iary mate­ri­als. This project is based on the SWT vehi­cle, which was designed by TEAM MP. These improve­ments include a rein­forced frame, oper­a­tor track­ing sys­tem and a new dri­ve system.

Mine trans­port vehi­cles must with­stand high tem­per­a­tures, humid­i­ty, salin­i­ty and uneven ter­rain. To meet these chal­lenges, TEAM MP sp. z o.o. has improved its SWT-TEAM vehi­cles with a rein­forced frame, oper­a­tor track­ing sys­tem and new dri­v­e­line. But at the heart of these improve­ments is a reli­able pow­er source – the Perkins® 904J-E36TA engine, sup­plied by BU Pow­er Systems.

The Perkins 904J-E36TA was select­ed for its abil­i­ty to deliv­er con­sis­tent pow­er and effi­cien­cy in extreme con­di­tions. Its 3.6‑litre, four-cylin­der design deliv­ers up to 100 kW (134 hp), ensur­ing smooth oper­a­tion even when ful­ly loaded or climb­ing steep grades. With 550 Nm of torque at just 1,500 rpm, the engine deliv­ers high per­for­mance at low revs, essen­tial when nav­i­gat­ing tight mine spaces.

Fuel effi­cien­cy is anoth­er key ben­e­fit. The engine’s advanced fuel injec­tion sys­tem opti­mis­es fuel con­sump­tion with­out com­pro­mis­ing per­for­mance – a key fac­tor in reduc­ing oper­at­ing costs in 24/7 min­ing oper­a­tions. In addi­tion, a high-strength cast iron block and rein­forced com­po­nents ensure dura­bil­i­ty and reli­a­bil­i­ty, min­imis­ing down­time and maintenance.

In addi­tion to its per­for­mance, the 904J-E36TA meets EU Stage V emis­sion stan­dards, help­ing min­ing oper­a­tions com­ply with envi­ron­men­tal reg­u­la­tions with­out sac­ri­fic­ing pow­er.
